JCU Occupational Therapy Clinic (Paediatric)

IMPORTANT NOTICE : Please note that the clinic is not currently accepting referrals due to a change in staffing from July 2011. The clinic will continue to be open until July 2011 however will only support families already engaged and those on the existing waiting list. If you wish to find out the outcome of these changes, it is recommended that you contact the University after July.

The Clinic offers services to children and young people between the ages of 18 months and 18 years. The service is designed to support those clients who are not currently able to access Occupational Therapy in the local community. Therefore children whoare currently engaged with either government or private occupational therapists are not eligible at present, and referrals may be redirected accordingly.

Referrals are to be completed by a professional person, and this could include those from a medical background (e.g. doctor, paediatrician, nurses, psychologist); allied health (e.g. Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Pathologist); or education (teacher, guidance officer).
