Living with ADHD in Townsville

In the past 3 years The Umbrella Network has met a large amount of families who have children diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. We understand the frustration that come with this diagnosis and the cross over into other issues such as Epilepsy , ASD and behavioural problems.

It has been hard to coordinate a specific ‘support group’ due to the large variation in ages and needs. HOWEVER you are not alone and we have found it easier to speak individually to families and then fascilitate meetings with other like minded people. We can help you with questions such as:

1.Where do you get help in Townsville?

2. Can I get some respite?

3. How can I educate my school?

4. Are there any activities my children can join in?

5. Who is a good GP?

6. Is anyone else going through what I am?

7. what about my other kids?

Remember we are 90% run by Volunteers so our office isn’t open all day – all week. But we’ll get back to you asap!
